1. EXCEPTIONS IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST
At Veelive, we recognize that certain content that may violate our rules could serve a broader public interest. Public interest refers to topics that aim to inform, inspire, or educate the community, promoting constructive conversations on matters of societal or collective importance.
Under the public interest exception, we may allow specific types of content to remain on Veelive, provided they meet the following criteria:
- Documentary Content: Content that documents real-life events or provides historical insight.
- Instructive Content: Content aimed at educating users about specific issues or topics.
- Medical or Scientific Content: Content discussing or explaining medical, scientific, or technological concepts.
- Counterspeech: Content that actively challenges or counters harmful narratives or misinformation.
- Satirical Content: Humor or satire that comments on societal, cultural, or political matters.
- Artistic Content: Creative works that express unique artistic perspectives.
CONTEXTUAL REVIEW
The context of the content is the most critical factor in determining if it qualifies for a public interest exception. When reviewing content, we consider:
- Whether it raises awareness about a particular issue.
- If it criticizes harmful behavior or sparks meaningful discussions.
We encourage creators to provide clear context for their content using captions, accompanying comments, or visual elements like stickers.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY MEASURES
For content granted a public interest exception, we may:
- Exclude it from the 3D Space to limit its visibility.
- Add labels, opt-in windows, or warnings to inform viewers about the content’s sensitive nature.
Important Note: No public interest exceptions are granted for content that poses significant harm, such as depictions of suicide, violence, or the sexual exploitation of minors.
2. DETECTION AND REPORTING
We aim to identify and remove content or accounts that violate our rules before they are seen or shared by others.
DETECTION PROCESS
Content moderation at Veelive involves:
- Automated Review: Content undergoes an initial automated screening to detect potential violations.
- Flagged Content: If identified as potentially violating policies, content is either removed or flagged for manual review by our moderators.
- Additional Reviews: Content that gains popularity or is frequently reported undergoes extra scrutiny. Verified accounts or high-profile content may also be subjected to additional quality assurance checks.
REPORTING VIOLATIONS
If you come across content or accounts that may violate our rules, you can report them:
- In the App: Use the reporting tool directly from the Veelive app.
- On Our Website: Visit the relevant reporting section to file a complaint.
We rely on user reports to identify and address violations promptly.
3. NOTIFICATION AND OBJECTION PROCESS
As part of our commitment to fairness and transparency, we notify users when their content or account is found to violate our rules.
NOTIFICATION OF VIOLATIONS
- If content is removed, we notify the user with specific reasons for the removal.
- If an account is blocked, users will see a banner notification explaining the action when they next open the app.
- For content excluded from the 3D Space or otherwise restricted, details will be available in the Veelive Analytics Tool.
APPEALS PROCESS
If you believe an enforcement action against your account or content was made in error, you can appeal the decision:
- Submit an appeal through the Security Center in the app.
- Track the status of your appeal in the same section, along with updates for any other submitted content or account reviews.
We aim to review and respond to appeals promptly to ensure fairness in our enforcement process.
4. COMMITMENT TO TRANSPARENCY
To maintain trust within the Veelive community, we make information about our enforcement actions available through our Transparency Center. This includes insights into:
- How content moderation decisions are made.
